I
decided to mix some of my past design work with my second passion,
scuba diving. I find that there is a lot of inspiration to be found
in the other two thirds of this blue planet and I enjoy the peacefulness
of that alien environment. After
receiving my formal education at Carleton University, I stumbled
across a job at Cooey Metal Products in Brighton, Ontario in 1986.
I have always been thankful of that first low paying opportunity
as it provided a great deal of design freedom and experience. After
two years at Cooey I moved onto my current place of employment,
ITW Plastiglide in 1988. The focus has always been on small injection
moulded parts for furniture, automotive, appliance and sporting
goods, yet I have had the pleasure of working with other designers
throughout the years on various projects. Playing ice hockey has
kept me sane, but travel and photography is starting to prioritize
my life.
