Today, Scott is an active member of ACIDO, dealing with membership related issues And has been a Professional member of ACIDO since 1994. A practicing industrial designer since graduating from OCAD in 1983, Scott is a partner in the firm of Hetherington Welch Design. His focus is on project management, from concept through to production, for a broad range of consumer and industrial products. User interface, ergonomic considerations, plastic part design, and a love of all things plastic are his driving forces. Scott takes pride in contributing to a design team environment and credits the dozens of designers that he has worked with over the years for contributing to an ever-changing methodology for problem solving. Outside of the office you are most likely to find Scott enjoying the company of friends and family, sharing a great meal, sailing, snowboarding, hanging out in the woods or at the lake, or (and?) watching any type of motor-sports on Speedvision.
