| The
path Mardi has followed towards becoming an accomplished and innovative
multidisciplinary designer has been a long and unexpected one, with
many surprising curves and detours along the way. It’s taken
him to almost all four corners of the world, and allowed him to
gain experience in virtually every area of design.
During a visit
to a watch design studio, Mardi was hit by a bolt of creative lightning
that ignited his desire to explore the inner workings of the design
process in greater depth. He pursued and completed both a Bachelor’s
and Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, and began a career
that has touched on everything from photography and illustration
to interior and exterior design to product and furniture design
– and everything in between.
A firm believer
in the value of sharing one’s knowledge and inspirations,
Mardi has also taught on the faculty at the Art University of Tehran,
and at the Azad Art and Architecture University in Iran. Currently,
he’s guiding Industrial Design bachelor’s degree students
at Toronto’s Humber School of Applied Technology.
Mardi is happy
to report that his path has finally led him to an exciting position
with Perennial Inc., in Toronto, where he currently devotes his
considerable talents full-time.
