According to a Residential Construction and Labour Market Report “construction activity is reaching record levels in Canada.” Steady growth in the renovation sector now represents over half of residential construction activity. Carpenters account for the largest percentage of employment within the building industry. My intent is to design a mobile workstation that can be used by carpenters, cabinet makers and general contractors. The workstation will help to improve current problems found in the work environment such as; insufficient work surfaces, material and tool storage, shelter from the weather, transporting equipment in and around the job site, as well as transporting equipment from one job site to another.
