Participant
Qualifications
• Open to final year
design students from Carleton
University, Humber College,
and Ontario College of Art
and Design.
• Design must be submitted
in the following format
(Refer to 1.4 Step-by-Step
Entry Guide for further details):
• 3 boards that describe
the thesis work with text
and images
• Minimum of 1 CAD rendering
• Minimum of 1 photo
of product in use (with human
scale)
• One page of development
sketches (include sketches
from start to final design
where possible).

deadline (Friday May 18 2007)
Judging
Criteria
The Rocket 2007 judging is
based on the following criteria.
These criteria are weighed
equally by the judges as they
deem appropriate for the category:
• Innovation: how is
the design new and unique?
• Aesthetics: how does
the appearance enhance the
products?
• User: how does the
design solution benefit the
user?
• Design Research: what
validation is given that the
design solves the problem?
• (Research only): Rigor/relevance/reliability
