Kirsten White uses clean
lines and clear purpose in
her approach to design. A
sensibility of considerate
hospitality has made White's
outdoor teak furniture the
preferred choice at some of
the world’s most prestigious
and discerning spaces. The
J. Paul Getty Museum was the
first institution to request
custom furnishing from White.
Since then, her designs have
graced locations from London’s
Canary Wharf to the 20th Century
Fox Studios in Los Angeles.
In addition to furniture,
White creates practical and
thoughtful product designs.
Each design is developed with
integrity, and an evident
honesty in use of materials
and function. White provides
exactly what is needed with
no excess.
White’s commercial work
is informed through active
participation in the design
community at home and abroad.
She is a fueling force behind
numerous collective and collaborative
projects that provoke, amuse
and inspire. White presently
teaches design at the Ontario
College of Art and Design
and Sheridan College in Toronto,
where she passes on her respect
for materials, process and
purpose.
