Daryl Tearne is the Design
Director at Crocker Motorcycle
Company, located in Toronto,
Ontario. In 2005, Crocker
Motorcycle Company approached
Daryl to lead the design of
a modern Crocker concept motorcycle.
At Crocker, he is also responsible
for the design of all print
items and creating and maintaining
the brand image. He also plays
a key role in developing the
production of the Crocker
1936-1942 replica models.
Before becoming part of the
Crocker Motorcycle Company,
Daryl worked briefly for Type-U,
a motorcycle design studio
based in Barcelona, Spain.
He also studied with GK Design
Europe, of Amsterdam, The
Netherlands.
His award winning Thesis project
took the concept of ‘Maglev’
and applied it into a hub-
less wheel. It featured in
both Cycle Canada, and Solo
Moto Magazines, and was shown
at several Motorcycle shows
in Ontario.
Daryl has also been a guest
speaker at the RDG Ontario,
and lectures and critiques
the Transportation Design
students at Humber Institute.
