This
project addressed the redesign of Rooftop Sprinkler
Kits used by the Ontario Ministry of Natural
Resources. The design focused on the forest
fire fighters' interaction with the kit, weight
reduction, ease of transport, speed of deployment
and collection, as well as reduction of component
wear and loss. Since there is real potential
for future implementation, the design optimized
low cost production methods which would allow
for limited production runs, and accommodate
phased in implementation.
