The
proposed concept is a construction toy for kids
that enables them to build and personalize their
own pedal or self-powered ride-on vehicle. The
construction toy is a kit that consists of the
basic mechanical, structural and aesthetical
building blocks for building a variety of ride-on
vehicles. There are many construction and building
toys, and ride-on vehicle toys on the market,
but none exists that combines the two effectively.
The toy is targeted for children, mainly boys,
between the ages of 4 to 10.
The price point is set to compete with the motor
powered prefabricated ride-on vehicle toys.
The specific goals of the thesis topic include
overcoming social, economical, and safety issues
associated with the popularization of toys that
do not promote physical activity amongst kids.
