Mike Doell received an AOCA
from the Ontario College of
Art and Design in 1994. After
graduating, he worked as a
freelance designer for clients
including Bata Footwear and
Sprint Canada. He soon joined
the Ontario Rehabilitation
Technology Consortium seating
research and development team
at the Bloorview MacMillan
Centre designing products
for children with special
needs. In 1999 he joined Hetherington
Welch Design developing projects
for clients such as Motorola,
MDS Nordion, Scientific Atlanta
and Trane Corp. In September
of 2001 Mike partnered with
Alex Ross to found Ross +
Doell, a Toronto-based design
studio specializing in industrial
design and brand development.
He has extensive experience
surfacing OEM automotive components
for Nissan/ Infiniti, Toyota,
General Motors, Saturn and
Chrysler as well as implantable
medical devices.
