The product, entitled Pieces, consists of a
series of square panels. Each one is crafted
by an individual craftsperson, using his or
her preferred medium. The consumer combines
the individual works of art to create an object
that is in itself, the consumer’s own
creation. On the back of each panel is a statement
about piece and the artist who made it. The
panels can be combined and configured by the
purchaser in a number of different ways to create
decorative objects for the home such as boxes,
bowls, coaster/trivets and sculptures.
