With the increasing popularity of Paralympic
sports such as Sledge Hockey, many local communities
have begun to develop programs that seek to
aid disabled athletes in various sports. In
Toronto, and many other cities, both winter
and summer sledge hockey programs are becoming
very popular. Sledgehammer seeks to bridge the
gap between the two sports by enabling the player
to use the sled for both ice and roller hockey
applications, with a minimal amount of effort
spent to make the conversion.
