ACIDO thanks you for entering the ROCKET 2009 Show and competition.

Last year, we have over 65 entries and hope that this year’s show will be just as successful. Keep checking the site over the next two weeks to find out more information about the show and this year’s sponsors.

Entry Deadline:
The deadline for entry has been extended to Friday April 17, 2009, 6:00 pm.  For more information on entry requirements please see the Step-By-Step Entry Guide.

Web submission / FTP Upload:
The deadline for projects to be uploaded to the ftp is April 26, 2009, 11:59 pm.  Any work received later than this will not be eligible for competition.  Please note that entry fees are non-refundable.  For more information on how to upload your files please see the Step-By-Step Entry Guide.

Show Set Up:
Show setup takes place from 9:00 – 11:00 am, on Saturday May 9, 2009.  This year’s event is being held at The Great Hall located at 1087 Queen Street West.

The building has a side entrance on Dovercourt and a main entrance on Queen Street, both have steps up to the hall, there is no elevator. You can pull up on Queen or Dovercourt to unload and meter park, unless there are stopping restrictions at that time.

There are public parking lots nearby but there is no parking available at the venue. 

Show Take Down:
You must be present Sunday May 10th between 5 – 6 pm to take away your project. If you want to take your projects down before that, you can. Nothing can be left at the venue Sunday night. If you leave anything it will have to be thrown out as we have to vacate the space by Sunday night.

Judging:
Judging  takes place on Saturday May 9th from 2  -  6 pm. Students are allowed to be there from noon until 5pm, the same as the public hours. You may wish to be present so you can discuss your project with the judges. We have a great selection of judges this year; watch the web site for their bios which will be up soon.

Please note that from 5 - 7pm the venue is closed and you may go for dinner in the area.

Evening Awards Gala:
The Awards Gala takes place from 7 pm – 10 pm on May 9th, 2009 with the awards ceremony starting at 7:30 pm. You can invite family and guests to the evening awards, but it is not open to the general public.

Public Show:
The show is open to the general public from 12 – 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Invite as many friends and family as you wish. You may be present at the public show if you would like but this is not a requirement.

We will have door security to ensure no presentation boards or models are not stolen, but we are not ultimately responsible for your project items. Please notice the note below about not leaving valuables such as laptops unsupervised.

It will be the students' responsibility to secure their personal items. We advise you not to leave these items unattended at any time. ACIDO is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
