The Association of Chartered Industrial Designers of Ontario (ACIDO) is an association of accredited Ontario Industrial Designers, formed to develop and promote the Industrial
Design profession within the province.
Every year at the end of the school term ACIDO’s Rocket Competition brings together the finest of Ontario’s graduating Industrial Design students from Carleton University, Humber College and the Ontario College of Art and Design to celebrate their achievements and explore their work.
The students’ projects are grouped into categories and evaluated by panels of judges comprised of industry representatives, professional designers, manufacturers and potential employers. Each category awards prizes and the category winners then compete for best-in-show honours. The grand prize winner receives ACIDO’s Rocket Prize, a cheque for $1000.00.
For the 2009 Rocket Show, we have been fortunate to receive generous support from our sponsors. They have donated awards for our entrants as well as giving their time to participate in this year’s show. ACIDO would like to thank the following Canadian companies: |
