The MÜV is a single passenger vehicle, which is primarily used for short trips within a city.  Its design includes materials that can be recycled or will biodegrade, so the car will never end up in a landfill.  The drive train uses a hydraulic hybrid system, which increases fuel economy without the use of hazardous batteries.  The small size and the use of already existing components, reduces the overall cost of the vehicle. Unlike typical hybrids that require components from around the world, the parts needed to make this vehicle are locally sourced.
